1/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c cocoa, sifted
1 1/2 t cinnamon
2 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
1 c buttermilk, room temperature
1/2 c canola oil
2 eggs, room temperature
2 t vanilla
3/4 c boiling water

6 T butter, room temperature
2/3 c heavy cream, room temperature
1 vanilla bean pod, seeds removed
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t vanilla extract
1/4 t coarse salt
2 c powdered sugar
(Chocolate Frosting)
1 stick butter
2/3 c cocoa
3 c powdered sugar
1/3 c heavy cream
1 t vanilla
seeds of 1 vanilla bean pod
1/4 t coarse salt
garnish with cinnamon sticks
